How to Clean Yeezys By Hand

What You'll Need!
– Your very own model of Yeezys
– A shoe cleaning kit – we recommend using Sneaker Aid
– Shoe cleaning brushes: a hard-bristled brush and a soft-bristled brush
– Several clean cloths. Sneaker Aid kit already includes a Microfiber cloth that's perfect for wiping and drying shoes. But, if you need more make sure they're clean and ready to use!
Cleaning Yeezys Steps
Manually
So, when it comes to cleaning Yeezys, there's always a common ground for all models. You see, as much as each model looks different than the other, they have one thing in common: the outsoles. In general, all Yeezys feature rubber outsoles in addition to some kind of cushioning technology in the midsoles. PLUS, cleaning the insoles and laces is pretty much the same process as well. Here's how to clean Yeezys!
OUTSOLES
1. Carefully remove the insoles and laces from your Yeezys
2. Fill a bowl halfway with lukewarm water and add 2-3 drops of a cleaning solution
3. Wet your hard-bristled brush in the water/cleaning solution and start scrubbing the soles
4. Don't be too gentle – put some elbow grease into it!
5. Make sure to frequently dip your brush in soapy water!
6. Use a clean cloth dampened with warm water to rinse and remove all excess cleaner and dirt from the soles
*Note: Be careful not to touch the uppers with the hard-bristled brush while cleaning Yeezys.
LACES
1. Empty and rinse your bowl. Refill it with half lukewarm water, and 2 -3 drops of a cleaning solution
2. Place the laces in the bowl and soak for approximately 20 minutes
3. Use your soft-bristled brush to gently scrub the laces
4. Hang them up to dry
INSOLES
1. Empty and rinse your bowl. Refill it with half lukewarm water, and 2 -3 drops of a cleaning solution
2. Do NOT saturate the insole with the solution. Use the solution to dip your soft-bristle brush
3. Gently scrub the insoles and then wipe them down
4. Air dry the insoles overnight!
In-A-Pinch Method
Another method on how to clean Yeezys includes a much speedier process. But, we do not suggest you use this method too many times. It is much less gentle on your Yeezys and you'll end up looking for a shoe repair guide instead. The super-speedy method includes using your washing machine for cleaning Yeezys. NOT in your dishwasher (you'd be surprised!).
Your washing machine isn't just for cleaning your clothes – you can use it to clean your Yeezy Boosts too. But DO NOT just toss your Yeezys into the machine and press start – follow the steps below to keep them as safe as possible.
What You'll Need!
– Your very own Yeezys (any model will work with this method too)
– A fully functional washing machine
– A few garment wash bags or even pillowcases instead
– A mild laundry detergent that's gentle
How to Clean Yeezys in a Washing Machine
1. Carefully remove the insoles and laces from your Yeezy – insoles SHOULD NOT go into the washing machine!
2. Place the laces inside a wash bag or pillowcase and gently knot it closed so that the laces do not escape and get tangled
3. Using a soft cloth, remove as much mud and dirt from the soles as possible
4. Place each sneaker in its separate pillowcase or garment bag!
5. Throw them in the washing machine – do not be passive-aggressive
6. Add a small amount of laundry detergent to your washing machine – less than half of what you'd usually use
7. Set your machine to COLD. High temperatures might melt the soles – BIG MISTAKE!
8. Now, set the cycle to gentle and press start.
Once the cycle is done, remove your shoes and laces and let them air dry for at least an entire day before re-lacing and showing off your refreshed kicks. They might feel a little snug after, but, don't worry, they will stretch out again!
Cleaning Yeezys – UPPERS

Cleaning Yeezys 350 means cleaning Primeknit or the weird monofilament mesh on the Mono Pack . So, here's how to clean Yeezys 350:
1. Wet your soft-bristled brush with warm water and dip into the soapy water
2. Place your hand inside your Yeezy Boost and use it to support the fabric while you scrub gently with your soft-bristled brush
3. Quickly work your way around the entire shoe, frequently dipping the brush into the solution
4. Rinse your brush under the faucet from time to time in order to avoid adding dirt back to your Yeezy Boost
5. Place your Yeezy Boosts in a cool place to dry. Avoid direct sunlight or heat, extended exposure will probably damage your pair.
The Monofilament mesh is much easier to clean. We just suggest that you wipe it down with a cloth and soap after every wear. This will make sure it looks clean longer. If you need a deeper clean, do the same steps above. Just with much less effort.
How to Clean Yeezys 380
Cleaning Yeezys 380 is basically exactly the same as cleaning 350s since they both feature Primeknit uppers. So, just follow the same steps as before!
Cleaning Yeezys 450
Yeezy 450s feature more outsoles than uppers. But, the little bit of upper material it has all Primeknit as well. This brings us back to the 350s cleaning guide. Refer to them to clean your Yeezy 450s! The whites might need a washing machine though.
How to Clean Yeezys 500
Cleaning Yeezys 500 might require a little bit more attention and care. That's because, generally, 500s feature uppers made of cow suede, premium leather, and lycra. That's three separate materials that you can not treat the same.
SUEDE
1. Rub or brush with a thin cloth towel or a suede brush
2. Use a pencil eraser to remove any obvious scuffs
3. Brush the surface one more time, and DONE!
LEATHER
1. Mix lukewarm water with a mild detergent or dish soap
2. Dip a soft cloth in the solution and wipe the surface
3. Use a clean damp cloth to wipe off the soap
4. Dry with a towel and leave to air dry
LYCRA
1. Mix lukewarm water with a mild detergent – NO chlorine or bleach
2. Wet a cloth and gently rub the area
3. Wash the cloth with clean water and rub the area again
4. Leave to dry
How to Clean Yeezys 700
So, when it comes to cleaning Yeezy 700s, it's about cleaning a lot more different materials. For common material with previous Yeezys, refer to the above cleaning tips! These materials include:
– Suede overlays and premium leather with mesh underlays for V1s
– Roller knit and premium leather with nubuck overlays for V2s
– Monofilament mesh with RPU overlays for V3s
– And, polyester nylon for the MNVNs
ROLLER KNIT
Treat the roller knit material the same as you would treat the Primeknit!
NUBUCK
Treat the nubuck overlays the same way you would treat the suede overlays!
RPU & POLYESTER
Both RPU and Polyester parts can be cleaned the same way you would do with leather. Give them a good wipe and they should be good to go!
